UPL: Express FC Hold Vipers SC To a One All Draw.

Rejuvenated Express Fc held defending champions Vipers SC to a 1-1 draw at Mutesa stadium in Wankulukuku on Tuesday, 9th February 2021.

Each goal from either side came in the second half of the game.

The Red Eagles (Express Fc) took the lead through Godfrey Lwesibawa through the free kick in the 56th minute and Vipers SC got an equalizer in the 59th minute through Karim Watambala also from the free kick.

The first half produced few goal scoring chances from all sides.

Lwesibawa and Eric Kambale were denied by Vipers shot stopper Fabien Mutombora to the game goalless.

The home side (Express) continued with threats on the visitors goal in search for the opener but the Venoms defence was at bay to stop them hence 0-0 at the break.

In the second stanza, Vipers introduced Winger Allan Kayiwa for Paul Mucureezi.
Kayiwa brought some life upfront with timely crosses from the right Frank keeping Express Fc defenders of Murushid Juuko and Isa Lumu busy.

The home side got a golden chance to take the lead from the free kick by debutant Muzamiru Mutyaba but Juuko headed it out and that was the end with the center referee William Oloya blowing the final whistle with a 1-1 score line.

This was Vipers second draw from 5 games played, winning 2 taking them to 11 points 2nd on the table one behind table leaders UPDF FC who have 12 points.

More so Express Fc registered their third draw from 5 games, winning two 6th on table with 9 points.
