Former Kabras Sugar RFC star player Philip Wokorach will lead Uganda 7s ahead of the Rugby Africa Solidarity Camp to be played in South Africa from May 8.
Uganda 7s head coach Tolbert Onyango named a 15-man squad that will head to the Springboks nation for one week of high-performance training at Stellenbosch, Cape Town.
Onyango retained majority of his team that played in the Emirates Invitational 7s in Dubai last month starting with French based star Philip Wokorach.
Michael Wokorach joins his brother Philip Wokorach alongside Solomon Okia, Joseph Aredo, Aaron Ofyrwoth and Massanganzira Isaac.
Timothy Kisiga, Byron Oketayot, Kelvin Balagadde and James Odong are the new players joining the team. However, Uganda were dealt a blow after Pius Ogena, Uganda Premeirship leading scorers was ruled out of the trip with an injury.
South Africa, Zimbabwe and Kenya are part of the teams expected to be part of the training camp aimed at assisting teams that have already qualified for the Olympics in their preparations.
The teams will have the first tournament on May 8th and 9th and the following subsequent weekend of May 14th and15th.
