The Kenya Cup competition will resume on Saturday 12th June 2021 with matches slated for Match Day 5. These matches were initially set to be played on Saturday 27th March before the league was suspended in adherence to state directives on Covid-19 mitigation.
The league semifinals are set for 28 August with the final scheduled to take place on 4 September.
As it stands, Kabras Sugar RFC are still at the top of the table with 15 points and a superior goal difference while defending champions KCB are second with 15 points. The Nakuru duo of Menengai Oilers and Nakuru RFC are third and fourth with 11 and 9 points respectively.
Menengai Oilers Timothy Okwemba leads the try-scoring charts with four tries followed by Martin Owilah (KCB), Michael Wanjala (KCB), Joshua Chisanga (Kenya Harlequin), Brian Waraba (Kenya Harlequin), and Steve Arunga (Menengai Oilers) all on two tries each.
Before the suspension of all sporting activities, only Nondescripts RFC had not played a single game. They will travel to Kakamega to face Masinde Muliro in an early kickoff at the Kakamega Showground while Kabras Sugar will entertain 5th placed Blak Blad in the late kickoff.
KCB Sports Club will also, host a doubleheader; Strathmore Leos will entertain Kenya Harlequins in the early kick-off while hosts KCB will battle it out with Nakuru RFC in the late kick-off. At the Impala club, Resolution Impala will battle Mwamba at 3 pm.
