Eto’o owes 3.2 million pounds in taxes

Former Cameroon national team striker Samuel Eto’o pled guilty to tax evasion in Spain. Eto’o got himself in the problems while playing for Barcelona.

Eto’o owes 3.2 million pounds in taxes.

However, the four-time African player of the year, was sentenced to 22 months in prison in Spain yesterday.

Nonetheless, The court ordered him to pay the sum owed, as well as a fine of £1.55 million pounds.

Otherwise, Cameroonian prosecutors have charged The president of the Cameroon Football Federation, Fecafoot, with failing to register his earnings from the use of his picture between 2006 and 2009.

Finally, In Spain, Eto’o joins the long list of celebrities charged with evading taxation.

In the charge sheet is also Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Coach Jose Mourinho, among others.
